This type of stainless tube has a higher cost than welded tube, but there are many benefits to using seamless tube. Being drawn specifically from a billet allows the seamless tube material to be consistent and not subject to a lesser corrosion resistant area, such as where the tube has been welded. Seamless Tube has approximately 20% greater working pressure than welded tubing. Seamless tube is a better option in many applications where the wall thickness needs to be greater.
